Yes, I have issues
I don’t sit down on Sundays and pretend that I am some all mighty know it all on happiness. I have an interest in working on being happy. I grew up with laughter and a lot of sadness. I worked hard to build a life for myself and my family. It never meant that I was happy overall or that I knew how to be happy. My father used to tell me that I could never “just relax” as I always had attention on something. Always doing something. Always into something. I didn’t want to be with myself, so I just kept attending to everything else but me.
Over years of working on myself, I would not say that I am “the master of me.” I’d say that I know some things about myself, and I am working to continue and discover more. I don’t believe that a person could know their talent unless they try their hand at the study of the “thing.”
I’ll offer, the advice and information that I share on this blog is meant to truly be an extension of my discoveries through this journey. A blind man on a sunny day can still feel the sun on his face and share his experiences. He can still be blind and work towards discovering other ways to experience the world and share these with others.
I do not profess to you that I am full sighted and that I know what it will take to help you achieve your happiness. What I can say is that I am going into the sunlight and feeling it on my face. The steps I have to take and the journey into the light is within itself a lot to do. How does one get up in the morning in the dark and find his way? As I discover these, I share them with you. It isn’t a map; it is a compass which points directionally. The specificity of your journey is yours.
I think it is important to share with you that I am working on me as you are working on you. I am learning along with you. I am sharing along with you, and I am receiving as well.
