Last Portion of THIS Happiness Series

Why do you think you are here?
Do you have an idea of your purpose?
If so, what is it?
Do you have a plan?
Do you have values, if so what are they?
What do you want to accomplish?

What do you think would make you happy?
What do you think would make people around you happy?
Do you have an idea of your impact on the world?
What matters most to you?
Do you have a personal mission?
If you wrote your own eulogy, what would it say?
If you were to die today, would you feel satisfied with what you’ve accomplished?
If not, why? If so, do you know what you feel is missing?
Do you have a vision statement?

The SHORT answer (Maybe)
You don’t need to sit down and write all of this down. You don’t need to go crazy planning or chart it out on walls. You do need to have the courage to take the next step. If you sit and do nothing, days will pass.
The world doesn’t stop for us. If you want to take time to think things through, that makes sense but if wait too long, you’ll find excuses to slow you down. You can dream about climbing the mountain plan it out thoughtfully and wait for the right time or pull together a rough plan, cover the important details, and go climb it.
I’ve seen many people over the years tell me what they wanted to do or what they planned on doing and they didn’t ever do it. If you do it and fail, so what? You did it. Figure out what you want to do next and then do that.

SO.. do you need a strategy?
That’s up to you! Ultimately, it is important to take steps and move towards that which makes you happy. You will discover new things along the way.
Good luck.. I am rooting for you!
We need a round table…
It’s hard to go with the flow in this society when people are so fixated with crossing things of their “to do” list and if you don’t have such a list you’re perceived as “lazy” or “irresponsible” for lack of a better word.
Sitting and doing nothing can be bittersweet. Time passes and people moved forward (in most cases) while you sit and chill. Im guilty!! I’ve been chilling for a while and some days I think it’s such a waste while other days I enjoy jumping into bed knowing (for the last 20 plus years) I would have been starting another project at wok, regardless of the hour.
The biggest thing that pops up in my mind when I think about my true purpose is to help others. Since most of my interactions with people have been in a work environment, I would say the focus has been more on helping people grow within their careers by sharing work/life experience while working WITH them. I’m also in a creative culinary field where food give us butterflies and takes us back to a personal place. It’s already way different than working behind a desk. My job is to produce but my purpose is to encourage people to tap into their love of it. I call it the “to teach a man to fish” concept. I don’t get that from sitting home in the quiet, but that helps me regroup myself, fill my cup then I have something to pour from.
Other than our core responsibilities and things that we HAVE to do…I’d say be spontaneous!!! We shouldn’t have to justify our doings when they are not harming anyone. If you want to wake up and sit on your deck all day, do it! We are so conditioned to feel like we are wasting the day. What if your purpose was to take care of yourself? Not answer your phone or check your e-mail after working hours? Dear lawd!! Could you sleep at night? Imagine, when we set up personal and work boundaries. People have all kinds of things to say. When we are able to help someone in some sorta way, it should serve as a gentle reminder of “what we are here for” .
How many people reading this blog care a whole lot about money and riches and material wealth? Let’s see those hands…I have questions! 🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️
