If you think this is for you, it may be.
If you feel something familiar just accept it.
If you are willing to accept it, it is yours.

We are many as we are one.
We are many things, we are complicated.
Our DNA is not pure or sifted through a universal collider. We are a mix and blend of our ancestors no matter what color our skin is or where we can trace our recent historical roots, there is no such thing as clear purity.
We are made of stars, cosmic dust, atoms, molecules, and water. There are so many things we have in common with each other. At the same time, it is true that we are different. We are much more the same than different but to us, our focus is on the differences.
The layers of our thinking and our consciousness are so very thin. Most of what we think is done well beneath the surface of our awareness. These ideas and thoughts bubble to the top of our “knowing” and in some cases leave our consciousness confused.
We are many within but we present as one.
We have multiple modes of personality and multiple faces and each is still tied to a root foundation of who we are as a baseline. Not too much of the extreme me and not too much of the tempered me but the timing of me(s) presented. It is hard to fathom if we had all of our individual selves rush to the surface all at once. It is hard to imagine if one of our selves controlled the rest or governed our being.
We are the multitudes. We represent the body of Earth. We are multitudes and we can be ourselves as who we are in that we are more than one in our being and our personality.
So many of us struggle with our identity today. Some focus on the aspect of gender and others focus on culture or referring to DNA and lineage. The fact is, we have been and always are fluid in who we are. We are always changing at some level. We also have the ability to influence directionally where we go through change.
We can become a victim of ourselves.
We can allow change to overwhelm us.
We can allow our identities to go rampant and absorb some of what we are.
The caterpillar digests itself almost wholly to become a butterfly. It cannot ever be both a caterpillar and a butterfly at the same time but it is always still what it was. It was in the start a caterpillar with a destined future of becoming a butterfly through a stage of its existence. It became a butterfly so that it would not compete with itself as a caterpillar.
It is very different from what it was but it is also the same. We are the same. In our case, we have been given a gift of awareness, we have some small ability to influence what colors we show as we expand our wings. We have the awareness that at some point, we have experience as a caterpillar and recognition of what we are as a butterfly.

We are the multitudes, we are composed of our grief, our pain, our happiness, our love, and all of the parts that make us who we are from the basics, the fundamentals all the way through the most complex aspects of ourselves.
It is not about acceptance of what we are, who we are, or where we are in time, it is about acceptance of ourselves as we are in nature. We are simply what we are. How we got to here, how we are going to get to where we are going is a matter of perspective in a moment. The moment that we perceive this our reflection will change in the next moment and so on. It is all moving through time and we are both riders and participants.
To be, even as we look in the mirror at our reflection, we are not seeing ourselves, we see the reflection. We may go through our whole lives never being able to see ourselves from the outside. A blessing, a curse it is what it is. We just can be what we are and seek to have some part in what we are to become. It is also possible that we have limited choices or in some aspects zero choice in what we become. Just as the butterfly becomes what it is made to be, we can’t stop what we are made to be in some fundamental aspects of ourselves.

If we choose to let go of our desires to directly control every aspect of everything and if we choose to understand and acknowledge what is, we can choose to be free of complexity which places weight and anxiety on our heart and soul.
The butterfly comes from the chrysalis, it breaks out and goes on to live the next stage of its life, it is what it was and it is different and the same. Now, free to fly, free to be, free to change but unbound by gravity. It is within itself constructed of multitudes.
You can be more than one version of yourself at anytime and you are still you.
If you can see a way to shed yourself of the weight of complex thinking and just appreciate this moment, I hope you have some peace and calm and that you feel better.
